Old, yet faithful

the hubby-bubby and i decided to take one last road trip before the baby comes so we went to see Old Faithful. i had never seen it, he had but we had a great time. we took lots of pics of the wildlife and scenery, so i'll just bore you all with some of the many wonderful images we came home with.

what am i, a rabbit? i just wanted some greens in my diet for the day - and got this. does this look like appetizing to you? not really. but don't worry - i drenched it with some salt to make it edible. the main course was much better. and of course, the hubby-bubby laughed at me when i took the picture of my weeds. i mean salad.

the first wildlife we saw.

yep, these wildlife were big enough for me to find by myself from the road.

beautiful

some elk

guess we know who makes the rules around these here parts

what are those specks coming down the road?

closer..........

uh...those aren't specs anymore........

by this time the hubby-bubby was getting nervous. so i locked the car doors for him.

...and there they go....

nope, not ol' faithful yet........

these were some hot springs we stopped at and walked around. it was great until the blizzard started and we had to get back in the car because it was so cold

yep, i was tired.

"don't i look cool standing by this hot pot?"

same pic, different warning.
but being gored by a buffalo is no joking matter.

and don't forget our lovely lunch companion.
he jumped up on the car and freaked me out. i screamed loud enough for old faithful to hear.

he made himself comfy on all the cars in the parking lot

ah....we're finally here, waiting for the magical moment.

ha! not yet!

yes, we forgot our winter clothing. didn't expect the snow storm.

"i am so happy to be here!"

there she blows!!!

and she's done.

us

some more "rocks"

the sun came out again and we found some more "rocks" by the road

did he move? is he coming towards the car??

i found this little guy. who wants to look at more elk and buffalo? bring on the woodland animals!

the end.
what a great vacation!

What a fun trip! I can't believe all the buffalo you saw! That's a good thing there was that descriptive sign regarding being gorged by buffalo. Glad you came back safe!! :) Hope you're doing well!

It sure is a good thing that you locked the car doors when the buffalo got too close. What would you have done if one had tried to open the door? Hee, hee!

Loved the pictures that told the story.
