our trip to ......... Sturgis!

well, its hard to believe it has come and gone, but our 7 day trip with 7 people to 7 states and 7 national parks is over.
We left last thursday and drove through Utah and Wyoming, camping in Wyoming for the night.

Isaac and i at the very beginning of the trip. see how nice and refreshed we look? that look didn't last long.

Right outside of Evanston there was a hold up on the freeway so we got off and walked around while we waited for traffic to start again.

Wyoming ended up being my favorite place to see on the trip. There were beautiful sunsets and very wide open spaces. (listen to the Dixie Chicks' song "wide open spaces" here).

The wind was blowing very hard in Wyoming.

I'm smiling in this picture so it must have been the first day still.

The view from isaac's mirror - still a beautiful sunset in Wyoming.
Stay tuned for more pics and fun on Day #2 of our motorcycle trip.....

another weekend

Who needs weekends at home? This last weekend I went to Isaac's family's cabin to get away from the city. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures except this one - which I think is a good one. I might be biased.

The 1st Nielson Family Reunion

The weekend after the 4th of July we got together in Soldier Hollow for our first family reunion. It was such a blast! We all took lots of pics, but I'll only show a few here -
My sister Brigette and her youngest, Kye

Lori and Keyan.
We put coins on the train tracks of the Heber Creeper. Then when it came by the train smashed the coins and the kids thought it was great.

Zane and his hot girlfriend, Brianna.

Most of the Nielson family. My mom and her siblings are sitting in the chairs.

Four peas in a pod
Lori, my mom, me, and Brigette. We were hiding out in the tent for awhile.

Kye, you're too young.
Kye took a moment to admire Isaac's motorcycle.

Isaac and I.

My mom and her sister Luonna.

4th of July

The Annual Granite Community 4th of July Parade and Carnival
The kids took a moment to dunk each other at the carnival - it was a very hot day.

- The family -
the adults and Kye watched the parade

Lori and Dave snuck into the train for a ride home after the parade. Such cute kids.
