scarred for life.

i don't know about all of you - but we had a great weekend.

first, we had the chubber's cousin come over and play in the snow with us. our backyard was still peacefully undisturbed after all the storms so it was high time to get some tracks on it.

the chubbers got a sled for Christmas and he hadn't even seen it yet. so we hooked the hubbers up to the sled and away they went.

the kiddos LOVED the ride!

i'm sure the hubbers had a hard time convincing them it was time to stop.

then they threw snow around and found some fallen icicles to munch on. the chubbers kept crying for his sucker when we made him throw it outside because it was dripping all over. :)

on MLK day the hubbers wanted to get out of the valley and away from this smog soup so we went up a canyon for a little sledding outing. too bad we aren't smarter parents and thought this through before we ended up scarring the chubbers for life. you see, a hill always looks less steep from the top than the bottom. you'd think we'd remember this. but nope - we didn't. so on the sled went the hubbers and the chubbers and away they flew - much faster than expected. needless to say - the chubbers was crying by the time the sled stopped and he wouldn't get back on it for anything.

"no mom - you can't take my picture - you scarred me for life!"

the only way we could get the chubbers back up the hill to the car was to carry him - he wanted to trek off into the powder and tromp around all afternoon long.

and this is the picture i made the hubbers take - to prove that i really do exist during these family outings.

sure hope we can talk the chubbers into sledding again someday.
