on dec. 31 isaac, his friends pete & anna, and his roommate scott and i hiked 6.something miles into isaac's cabin - mostly in the freezing dark abyss of night.
this is isaac and i at the beginning of the journey - see us smiling? that didn't last long. besides - it was so dark you couldn't see anyone smiling.
we spent the night in his non-heated cabin, woke up, packed up, and hiked the 6.something miles out today. but today the sun was out while we hiked out and that made a HUGE difference in our journey. that and the fact that i knew we were going home and we were passing other outdoor enthusiasts on the way.
Pete and Anna got their new year's kiss in a little early.
my hips are sore, my face is sunburned and i feel dehydrated, but oh well. its 2008, right? and - not many people can say they've survived a new year's eve death march.
happy 2008.
isaac was trying to pick up some radio waves using his cross-country skis as antennas.

three chears for the 2K7/2K8 death march! now we can look back on it and think it was fun, right? at least we got good burgers afterwards!
tell isaac we want copies of the photos. I need to blog the adventure too!
Sounds like so much fun! I'm proud of you for you willingness to do that.

Sounds like fun, in a self-mutilating sort of way. lol. Where's the picture of YOUR New Year's kiss? ha ha. :O)
