the other night we went to a concert in the park with my family. it's was great - until the rain started coming. we decided to leave early because we were on the motorcycle, but alas, the rain didn't stop for us. we had quite the ride home in the rain. i can't understand why the cars driving next to us kept laughing when we pulled up next to them at a stop light. two people out for a nice motorcycle ride in the middle of a thunderstorm. weird.
by the time we got home we were soaked through. i ran inside to grab the camera so we could show how bad it really was.
there were spots on each of us that were still dry, believe it or not, but pretty much we were wet everywhere. i had shorts on and man did those rain drops hurt when they pelted my legs. i had sunglasses on, too, but the rain drops kept dropping into my eyes, even though i had my head titled down into isaac's back.
i could barely get my sweatshirt off because it was so heavy from all the water it had soaked up.
thank goodness his behind was dry.
and thank goodness i put my sweatshirt on before we left the park - or else i would have been having a wet t-shirt contest in a white t-shirt. eeks! we dried out and listened to the thunderstorm from inside our house. it was so bad that the thunder set off a neighbor's car alarm.
later, after we got home and dried out (kind of) lori and david came over to borrow the video camera for their upcoming delivery of Peanut.
too bad Peanut didn't get the memo about coming. lori's due date is saturday june 6. looks like this baby isn't going to come early. i can't WAIT until this baby gets here. hopefully she'll come this weekend so we can visit lots with her before another crazy work week starts.
the men chillin' out and swappin' stories.
Then yesterday we were lucky enough to go to Jakey's graduation.
the graduating class.
let's play where's jakey?. hint: the white shoes should help direct your eyes towards him.
i got to hold Critter the whole time. he's such a great baby!
oh - the shoes again. looks like jake is bored.
jake sat next to his fried Maxy-Max and they stood in line goofing off, too.
