happy birthday to him!
we had a family BBQ to celebrate.
let me just tell you - whenever my family gets together - it's good times all around. and lots of laughs.
it's zane's fault.
see - here is zane being funny.
he said "this is what i would look like if i were *insert race category here*". (
i don't want to tell you what he said because i don't want to offend anyone.)
but we all laughed because here he is, using his wife's hair to make a mustache for himself. poor wife.
we all wore white shirts on purpose. and the best part is: Troy-boy showed up in black, without us having to tell him to wear black. (apparently black is the color of death and once you hit 40 - you're dead.)
my sister had black decorations all around: black balloons, crepe banners, paper plates, candles, etc. we even had a cake with black icing. we really wanted Troy-boy to feel special.
the sisters, my mom and i made this quilt for Troy-boy. it was so fun making it for him cause we all helped and it turned out great! i sure hope he feels the love we put into each stitch of this blanket - cause we love our Troy-boy!!!

Black was a great theme - too bad about the 80's butt rockers theme - those would have been almost as hilarious as Zane's ----- mostache
