heaven on earth.

yep. we went to powell. sometimes i think i could live there. until the wind picks up and makes it pretty much unbearable. i don't know what the weather was like wherever you were on this holiday weekend, but let me tell you about ours -

when we looked out our tent window and saw this - we knew we were in for it.

so we quickly took the animals to shelter and hunkered down in our flimsy tent, hoping it wouldn't break during the night.

after a few days in the tent, the hubbers decided to sneak a peak out to see if the boat was still tied up on the beach. o.k. that's not really how our weekend went down, but pretty close. we did have a wind storm for 2 days, and our tent did fall down twice before we took it down to prevent more damage. and then the storm blew over. and we had 2 gorgeous days in paradise.

is anyone in that pile of sleeping bags?

finally out on the lake -

this pic was taken during one of our days stuck inside the tent. too bad the chubbers doesn't have enough hair to comb. but he did try.

this is pretty much what we did for 2 days: sleep and play with trucks

ahhh.....finally out on the water
