as promised, here are the pics that wouldn't load last week.
sorry it's taken me so long to get them up - as the title to this post says - we've been busy little bees!
the sisters, mom, kiddos, and i went to Swiss Days last week - AWESOME! love that local event!
and this little lady made her first appearance to Swiss Days.
over the holiday weekend the hubbers really worked himself to the bone and did some much-needed jobs around the house.
he sat in my kitchen window. i mean - he hung blinds in my kitchen window.....
.....that you can see in the background of this pic. these were the last blinds that i REALLY wanted hung. now all the people that drive by our house can't see me washing dishes at night
a blind in our garage. so happy!!!!
now - this pic is to make you laugh. i know you can't tell from this angle - but the chubber's chin barely reached the top of the table. it was hilarious. and made me sad - my little boy is too big for his high chair, but still too small for the big table.
we put an area rug down in the living room.....
we put shelves up in the bathroom.....
we hung this shelf in my kitchen. remember this post? well, this shelf has to do with this post - click here to see what the old post was about -
well this is what i decided to do with my family pics. i like it. i like it a lot. i love being able to see our parents and grandparents looking down on us. *disclaimer - i do have one picture left to get - so this project isn't complete yet. but you get the idea of how it looks.
now, here's the sad part of this post.
we had, notice i say "had", one tree in our yard. and it was dead. and i mean dead. dry as week old bread. dry as a crisp tortilla chip. dry as a saltine. you get the idea. it was dead. so the hubbers wanted it out. so he was going to use a chain saw and cut it down. well, the chain saw wouldn't start. so what's the next best way to get a dead tree out of your yard?
well duh! hook up a chain to your truck and yank it out! didn't take much to drag that sucker down. and now our yard is completely treeless.
we did a few other projects around the house - but i only took these pics, so you'll just all have to come to our house and see all the udpates for yourself.
this last weekend lori and david blessed their little girl, Audrey.
the Parker family (minus Curtis - he's on a mission)
i LOVE danielle here - she is so funny!
good thing she moved her hands - so you could see her precious smile
the Schulze family
i saved this picture until now because someone was on their honeymoon and i didn't want to post a picture until she got back to the real world. :)
she was a stinking beautiful bride and looked so happy! congrats to the M's.
and this picture i saved for last on this post.
i know it's not a great copy of the picture - but you get the idea. we will welcome baby #2 in the spring and i can't wait!
