my dear friend-from-the-womb Katie came into town this last weekend for a surprise visit to her family. She is expecting her first child a month after our baby is due. i'm so excited to be pregnant at the same time!
they did find out the sex of their baby last week, too, but i'll let her share that news with the world.
we went to Capitol Reef this last weekend and let me tell you - if you haven't ever been there - you are missing out. IT IS GORGEOUS!!!
this is probably my most favorite place we've been to so far. i don't know why - but i just absolutely loved it. it's such a great place - and lots of history is all around down there in everything you see.
we went down with some of our most favorite people - the Bateman's. the chubbers loves playing with these two kiddos.

now - some of you are probably wondering why i haven't posted what the sex of our baby is. but let me tell you - there is a reason for this.
you see, my parents-in-law went to pick Jakey up from his mission and they get home from their trip in 2 days (they've been gone for almost 2 weeks). we were supposed to e-mail them while they are on their trip and tell them - but we decided to make them wait and deal with the suspense until they got back. so - i will post the results soon - but not yet - just in case they're checking my blog to see if we've announced it.
so - if we've told you what our baby is - please don't post any comments here to ruin the surprise in the meantime.
