a couple weekends ago we were able to go to the hubber's family's cabin. it was AWESOME! we had the whole place to ourselves and it was so nice and quiet and relaxing. it rained a few times while we were there and the mountains and everything around us just looked so peaceful and refreshing.
the picture below should really be picture #2 for this post. for the first picture - which wouldn't upload - imagine the hubbers holding our second son, standing in a pasture next to a bunch of horses with the sun setting in the background. it's a great picture. the second son has the big 'ol smile on his face and so does the hubbers. it's a great picture.
so - this is picture #2. this is after our walk to the pasture. the second son fell asleep in the backpack and we didn't want to disturb him. so we left him in the backpack and propped him up on the couch with some pillows. don't worry - he only stayed like this for like 3 minutes. pretty funny though.
the chubbers and the dog loved the big 'ol fireplace. the chubbers didn't want to take off his sweatshirt even though it was nice and warm inside. he didn't even want to take off his hood. he's a funny kid.
and this picture shows how the hubbers entertains his children. see how captivated they are watching a movie???? but the best part is that the chubbers can still function enough to pick his nose. priceless.
when it was time to come home, we drove the whole way in the rain. it was magical. a nice way for fall to come ushering in.
